What is NASCAR?
NASCAR stands for the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. It is a very popular type of car racing in the United States. Drivers race special cars called "stock cars" on oval tracks or road courses. These races are exciting and often involve high speeds and close finishes.
Regan's Early Racing Days
Regan Smith began racing at a young age. He started in kart racing, which uses small, open-wheel vehicles. He quickly showed talent, winning several championships.
- In 1996, he became the WKA Grand National champion.
- The next year, 1997, he won the WKA Manufacturer's Cup.
- In 1998, he won the Canadian Grand National Karting championship.
