What's the Episode About?
The Babies Worry About Reptar
The episode starts with Angelica Pickles saying that dinosaurs are extinct. This makes Tommy Pickles very worried! He loves Reptar, a big green dinosaur from his favorite TV show. Tommy wonders if Reptar is extinct too.
The other babies, Chuckie Finster, Phil and Lil DeVille, try to comfort him. Chuckie accidentally suggests that maybe Reptar is just "hiding." So, the babies decide to look for him in the backyard.
Finding "Reptar's Baby"
While searching, they find a small lizard that looks a lot like Reptar! The babies think it's Reptar's child. To keep their new friend a secret from the grown-ups, Tommy hides the lizard in his diaper. They try to figure out what to do with "Reptar's Baby."
Suddenly, a TV commercial for "Reptar on Ice" comes on. The babies are super excited! They think they can finally "return" the lizard to its "father," the real Reptar, at the ice show. Stu Pickles, Tommy's dad, decides to take all the babies to the show.
An Actor's Troubles
When they arrive at the ice show, we meet Leo. He's the actor who plays Reptar. Leo is not happy! He complains to the show manager, Harry, because he doesn't like kids, lizards, or even ice skating. He wonders why he took the job!
The Babies' Big Adventure
The ice show begins, and soon, the grown-ups fall asleep. This is the babies' chance! They sneak onto the ice to give the lizard back to "Reptar." They ride on the show's props, trying to catch up with the actor playing Reptar.
They accidentally get in the middle of a scene, interrupting the performance. Leo tries to keep going, but then Tommy shows him the lizard. Leo freaks out and runs off the ice! Stu quickly gets on the ice and picks up the babies. The audience claps, thinking it was all part of the show!
