Who Designed Republic Plaza?
The Republic Plaza was designed by a famous architecture company called Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. The building is made from strong concrete and covered with beautiful Sardinian granite stone.
What's Inside the Building?
Republic Plaza has a lot of office space, about 1,200,000 square feet (114,745 square meters). It also has three levels with shops, restaurants, and other businesses. The building's main entrance has a large, three-story lobby made of marble.
Art in Public Places
The lobby of Republic Plaza hosts a special program called "Art in Public Places." This program shows art from artists in Colorado and the surrounding region. New art is displayed every three months.

When Was It Built?
The Republic Plaza was built by a company called PCL Construction Services, Inc. It was completed in 1984.
Celebrating the Colorado Rockies
On October 27, 2007, the top 20 floors of Republic Plaza were lit up in purple. Large white letters "C" and "R" were also lit up. This was to celebrate the Colorado Rockies baseball team playing in the 2007 World Series for the first time.
The Fight for Air Climb
Republic Plaza is also famous for hosting the "Anthem Fight for Air Climb." This event is organized by the American Lung Association in Colorado. Every year, usually on the last Sunday in February, people climb all 56 stories of the building's stairs to reach the top. It's a challenging event that helps raise money for a good cause.
