Celebrating the Colorado Rockies

On October 27, 2007, the top 20 floors of Republic Plaza were lit up in purple. Large white letters "C" and "R" were also lit up. This was to celebrate the Colorado Rockies baseball team playing in the 2007 World Series for the first time.

The Fight for Air Climb

Republic Plaza is also famous for hosting the "Anthem Fight for Air Climb." This event is organized by the American Lung Association in Colorado. Every year, usually on the last Sunday in February, people climb all 56 stories of the building's stairs to reach the top. It's a challenging event that helps raise money for a good cause.
