Reza Norouzi's Football Journey
Starting His Career
Reza Norouzi began his football career with a team called Bargh Shiraz. This was in the Iran Pro League, which is one of the top football leagues in Iran.
Playing for Steel Azin
In 2008, Reza Norouzi joined Steel Azin. He had spent the year before playing for Bargh Shiraz.
Time with Foolad
Norouzi moved to Foolad in 2010. During the 2010–11 season, he became the top goal scorer in the league. This means he scored more goals than any other player that season!
Joining Naft Tehran
In October 2012, Norouzi signed with Naft Tehran. He started playing for them in January 2013. He scored his first goal for Naft in his very first game against Malavan. In his second season with Naft Tehran, he scored 11 goals, making him one of the top scorers in the league again.
Playing for Persepolis
After helping Naft Tehran finish third in the Pro League, Reza Norouzi had many offers from other teams. He decided to join Persepolis in the summer of 2014. He signed a contract for one year.
Persepolis fans gave him a special nickname: the Blue Killer. This was because he had scored nine goals against their rival team, Esteghlal, in previous seasons. He played his first official game for Persepolis on August 1, 2014, against his old team, Naft Tehran.
Reza Norouzi's International Games
Reza Norouzi also played for the national team of Iran. He started his international career in November 2010. His first game was against the Nigeria team.
He also played for Iran in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. This is a big football tournament for Asian countries. Later, he was chosen to be part of Iran's team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The World Cup is one of the biggest football events in the world!
