Rhythm Tengoku Gold is a fun music video game made by Nintendo. It was created for the Nintendo DS handheld game console. This game is the next one in the series after Rhythm Tengoku. In some places, it's also known as Rhythm Heaven.
How to Play Rhythm Heaven Gold
Rhythm Heaven Gold uses only the touch screen on your Nintendo DS. To play, you follow what the game wants you to do in each stage. You'll tap, flick, or hold the stylus to the beat of the music.
For example, in one level, you need to fill robots with liquid. The robots move on a conveyor belt. You have to drop a nozzle to the music's beat, aiming for the robot's head. Then, you hold the nozzle until the robot is full and flies away.
- If you do it perfectly, you get a perfect hit.
- If you almost get it right, like overfilling or missing a little, it's a half-hit.
- If you miss completely, it's a miss.
At the end of each stage, you get a rank. You can get a Perfect Level, Mediocre, or a Miss.
The touch screen lets you do different actions. One action is a "flick" motion. This means you quickly move the stylus in a direction. In the first stage, you flick a screw using a spring to the music's beat. You need to flick the screw at the right moment into two squares as they roll down the screen. This makes the squares come together.
There's also a special mode called Guitar Lessons. It's similar to the Drum Lessons found in the earlier game, Rhythm Tengoku.
The Music of Rhythm Heaven
Just like in Rhythm Tengoku, the music for this game was created by a famous Japanese musician named Tsunku. He makes all the catchy songs you hear in the game.
A special album with music from the game was released on October 15, 2008. This album has 140 songs from both Rhythm Tengoku Gold and the first game, Rhythm Tengoku.
