Ricardo Samuel Lucarelli Santos de Souza, born on February 14, 1992, is a famous Brazilian professional volleyball player. He is known as an "outside hitter" for his club team, JTEKT Stings, and for the Brazilian national team. Lucarelli won a gold medal at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and also won the World Cup in 2019.

Playing for Clubs

Ricardo Lucarelli started his professional volleyball career in 2010. He first played for the Minas Tênis Clube team. In 2013, he joined SESI São Paulo. Later, in 2015, he moved to the Funvic Taubaté club.

Playing for Brazil's National Team

Lucarelli also played for Brazil's junior national team. In 2010, they won a gold medal at the South American Championship. The next year, his team finished fifth in the World Championship.

Early Success with the National Team

In 2013, Lucarelli helped Brazil win the World Grand Champions Cup. He also earned a gold medal at the South American Championship. That same year, he won a silver medal at the World League. He was even named the Best outside spiker at the World League.

In 2014, Lucarelli was a very important player for the Brazilian team. They won a silver medal at the World League 2014 in Florence, Italy. He was again named the Best outside spiker, sharing the award with his teammate Murilo Endres.
