Riceboro is a small city in Liberty County, Georgia, in the United States. In 2010, about 809 people lived there. It is part of the larger Hinesville-Fort Stewart area.

History of Riceboro
Riceboro got its name because a lot of rice used to be grown in this area. For many years, from 1789 to 1837, Riceboro was the main town, or "county seat," for Liberty County. This means it was where the county government was located. In 1819, the state government officially made it a village called "Riceborough."
Geography and Location
Riceboro is located at 31°44′7″N 81°26′25″W / 31.73528°N 81.44028°W. It covers an area of about 11.4 square miles (29.5 square kilometers). Most of this area is land. A small part, about 0.3 square miles (0.8 square kilometers), is water.
