Rich Valley is a small community known as a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada. It is part of Lac Ste. Anne County. You can find it on Highway 33, about 70 kilometers (43 miles) northwest of the city of Edmonton.

A Look Back: Rich Valley's History
Rich Valley had a different name when it first started! It was originally called "Onion Prairie." The very first post office in Rich Valley opened its doors in 1909. It was set up in the home of the Carlin family, which made it easier for people to send and receive mail.

- Georges Charles-Jules Bugnet was a Canadian writer and a plant expert. He did a lot of his work creating new kinds of plants right here in Rich Valley.
- William Purdy was a politician who served as an MLA (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for Stoney Plain from 1971 to 1986. He was also the first mayor of the Village of Wabuman.
