Acting Career Highlights
Richard Bremmer started his acting journey in a short film called Couples and Robbers. His first full-length movie was The Girl with Brains in Her Feet.
Playing Lord Voldemort
One of his most famous roles was being the very first actor to play Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He appeared in a flashback scene. In this scene, Voldemort arrived at Harry Potter's parents' house. He was there to try and kill them. Even though Richard Bremmer played Voldemort, his face was never actually shown on screen. Later in the movie, the character of Voldemort was created using computer graphics. Another actor, Ian Hart, provided the voice for that version of Voldemort. The footage of Richard Bremmer as Voldemort was also used again in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
