Richard Bremmer (born 27 January 1953) is an English actor. He is known for his roles in many films and TV shows. He was the first actor to play Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter movies.
Early Life and Beginnings
Richard Bremmer was born and grew up in Warwickshire, England. He started his acting career in a short film called Couples and Robbers in 1981. His first full-length movie was The Girl with Brains in Her Feet.
Acting Career Highlights
Richard Bremmer is perhaps most famous for being the first actor to play Lord Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. He appeared in a flashback scene where Voldemort attacked Harry's parents. Even though his face wasn't clearly seen, his performance helped set the stage for the famous villain. His scenes were even used again in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
He has also acted in many other movies. These include The 13th Warrior, where he played a character named Skeld. He was also in the 2004 film Viper in the Fist.
