Richard Masur (born November 20, 1948) is an American actor who has been in over 40 movies. He is known for playing different kinds of characters. From 1995 to 1999, he was the president of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). This is a group that helps actors.
Some of his most famous roles include David Kane on One Day at a Time (a TV show from 1975–1976). He also played Nick Lobo on Rhoda (1974–1977). In movies, he was Clark in The Thing (1982). He also played the grown-up Stanley Uris in the TV miniseries It (1990). More recently, he was Edward L. L. Moore on Younger (2016–2018).

Richard Masur's Life and Career
Richard Masur was born in New York City. He has a sister named Judith. He went to school in New York and later studied acting at the Yale School of Drama. Before he started acting in movies and TV shows in the 1970s, he performed on stage.
He appeared in episodes of popular TV shows like All in the Family and The Waltons in 1974. He also had roles that appeared in many episodes, called "recurring roles." These included Rhoda from 1974 to 1977 and One Day at a Time from 1975 to 1976.
One of his early movie roles was in the 1982 horror and science fiction film The Thing. In this movie, he played a character named Clark, who worked with dogs.
In 1988, Masur played the father of Corey Haim's character in the movie License to Drive. He was also part of the group of actors in the 1990 TV miniseries It, which was based on a book by Stephen King.
Richard Masur has also made guest appearances on many other TV shows. Some of these include M*A*S*H, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Hawaii Five-O, Happy Days, Law & Order, and The Good Wife.
