History of Richburg
Richburg has some interesting historical buildings. Two important homes, the Elliott House and the Landsford Plantation House, are recognized as special places. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This means they are protected because of their historical importance.

Richburg is found in the eastern part of Chester County. You can find it by looking for these coordinates: 34.717374 degrees North and 81.019635 degrees West.
A major highway, Interstate 77, runs just west of the town. You can get to Richburg from Exits 62 and 65 on I-77. If you drive north on I-77, you will reach Charlotte, which is about 40 miles away. Driving south on I-77 will take you to Columbia, about 53 miles away.
Another road, South Carolina Highway 9, goes through the northeast side of Richburg. This highway leads west about 13 miles to Chester, which is the main town of the county. If you go east on Highway 9 for about 16 miles, you will arrive in Lancaster.
