Richland Creek is a small stream, about 5.25 mi (8.45 km) long. It flows into Crabtree Creek in Raleigh, North Carolina. Richland Creek starts from a pond at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. It then flows north, passing under Interstate 40 and through Schenck Forest, before joining Crabtree Creek. Most of the land around the creek is developed, but about 30% is still covered by forests.
The Creek's Journey
Richland Creek begins its journey in a pond located at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. From there, it flows north. The creek goes under a big highway, I-40. It also travels through an area called Schenck Forest. Finally, Richland Creek meets and joins Crabtree Creek.
