Richy Jackson loved dance his whole life. After seeing his school friend Aaliyah on TV, he decided to follow his dream. In 1999, he left Tuskegee University and moved to Los Angeles. There, he started his career in dance.

Jackson has danced for many famous artists. These include Missy Elliott and Usher. He also worked as an assistant choreographer for Michael Rooney. Later, he became an assistant to Laurieann Gibson. He helped choreograph and dance for Lady Gaga. He also worked with artists like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj. In 2012, Jackson was the visual director and choreographer for Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball tour. He also appeared as a judge on Lifetime television's show Abby's Ultimate Dance Competition.
