Laurieann Gibson (born July 14, 1969) is a talented Canadian choreographer, director, and TV star. She is also a singer, actress, and dancer. Laurieann has created amazing dance routines for many famous music artists. Some of these include Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, and Beyoncé.

She has also directed music videos for popular songs. These include "Judas" and "You and I" by Lady Gaga. In 2005, Laurieann became well-known from the MTV reality show Making the Band. Later, she was a judge on shows like Skating with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. Laurieann also released two music albums.

Laurieann Gibson's Life and Career

Laurieann Gibson was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on July 14, 1969. She became famous on MTV's Making the Band. She also starred in P. Diddy and Mark Burnett's Starmaker series. Before that, Laurieann was a "Fly Girl" dancer on the popular TV show In Living Color.

After studying at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Laurieann moved from theater dance to hip hop. She became the main choreographer for big music companies like Motown Records and Bad Boy Records. She has worked with music legends such as Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé.

Laurieann also choreographed dances for movies. These include Alfie and Honey. In Honey, she even appeared as Jessica Alba's dance rival. In 2011, she stopped working with Lady Gaga.

In 2012, Laurieann directed the World Tour for the K-pop group BIGBANG. She also trained actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw for six months for the movie Beyond the Lights. This helped Gugu perfect her pop-star character.

In 2017, Laurieann was a choreographer on Lifetime's Dance Moms. She worked with Abby Lee Miller's dance team. In 2019, she became a judge on the sixteenth season of So You Think You Can Dance. She judged alongside Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and Dominic "D-Trix" Sandoval. In 2020, Laurieann received the first-ever Willie Dunn Award. This award honored her work as a choreographer and director of music videos.

Personal Life

Laurieann Gibson is the godmother of American model and dancer Alton Mason. She helped him start his career. She got him a job as a backup dancer for P. Diddy at the BET Awards 2015.
