Ridgeway is a small area in Tasmania, Australia. It's a mix of countryside and homes. Ridgeway is part of the Hobart area. It is located about 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) south-west of the main city of Hobart. In 2016, only 175 people lived in Ridgeway. It is a suburb of Hobart, found just south of Dynnyrne.
Ridgeway is home to a few plant nurseries, like Plants of Tasmania Nursery and Island Bonsai. There are also a small number of houses. Long ago, before the big bushfires in 1967, Ridgeway was a place where people grew vegetables for sale. It even had its own school and church back then.
