Right Now Kapow was a super fun American animated TV show. It was a sketch comedy series, which means it had lots of short, funny scenes and stories. The show was made by Warner Bros. Animation for the Disney XD channel.
This series was special because it was one of the few times that Warner Bros. and Disney worked together. The last big project they did together was the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Right Now Kapow first aired on September 19, 2016. It finished on May 31, 2017.
The show was created by Justin Becker and Marly Halpern-Graser. They had also worked together on the Mad series for Cartoon Network. Justin Becker also worked on shows for Adult Swim. Marly Halpern-Graser also helped with Cartoon Network's DC Nation. Disney XD decided to end the series after just one season.
What the Show Was About
The show followed six main characters who were not human. They were called "anthropomorphic," which means they had human qualities. These characters were Ice Cream, Candy, Moon, Plant, Diamond, and Dog. They went on new and funny adventures every day. They often found themselves in silly trouble. This style was a bit like the old Looney Tunes cartoons.
Each episode of Right Now Kapow was about 11 minutes long. It usually had three main parts, plus other short, random sketches. The humor in the show was similar to the funny style of the Cartoon Network series Mad.
