Riki Takasaki (高嵜 理貴, Takasaki Riki, born July 11, 1970) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper for several teams in Japan's professional leagues.

Riki Takasaki's Football Journey

Riki Takasaki was born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, on July 11, 1970. After finishing his studies at Nippon Sport Science University, he began his professional football career.

Starting with Sagan Tosu

In 1993, Takasaki joined a club called PJM Futures. This team later changed its name to Tosu Futures and then Sagan Tosu. For the first few years, he didn't play much in games. However, by 1997, he became the main goalkeeper for the team.

Sagan Tosu was promoted to a new league called J2 League in 1999. Takasaki continued to be a key player for them, playing in many matches for four seasons.

Moving to J1 League Teams

In 2001, Takasaki moved to JEF United Ichihara, a team in the top league, J1 League. He faced tough competition there and didn't get to play many games.

The next year, in 2002, he joined Kashima Antlers. This team had a very famous goalkeeper, Hitoshi Sogahata, who also played for the Japanese national team. Because of this, Takasaki again found it hard to get playing time.

Later Career and Retirement

In 2004, Takasaki moved to Oita Trinita. Here, he had more chances to play, especially in 2004. He competed with another goalkeeper, Hayato Okanaka, for the starting spot. However, in 2005, a new talented goalkeeper named Shusaku Nishikawa joined the team, and Takasaki's playing time became limited again.

His final move was to Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2006. He did not play in any matches during this season. Riki Takasaki decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2006 season.
