Rina's Early Life and Music Journey
Growing Up and Starting Out
Rina Balaj was born in Peja, Kosovo, and grew up in a town called Istog. When she was 16, Rina tried out for the TV show X Factor Albania in 2015, but she didn't make it through.
In December 2017, Rina was featured on a song called "Janari" with Albanian singer Endri. This song became quite popular, reaching number 6 in Albania.
First Songs and Big Hits
After signing with OnRecords, Rina released her very first song, "Për ty," in March 2018. Later that year, in September 2018, she released a song that made her really famous: "Gigi." This song was a collaboration with Greek-Albanian rapper Sin Boy. "Gigi" was a big hit in Albania, reaching number 8, and it also became very popular in Greece, climbing to the top 3.

In May 2020, Rina released her first album, MM, with Sin Boy. This album was special because it had songs in Albanian, Greek, and English. Several songs from MM became singles, including "Meredith," "Tentacion," "GG," and "Sari." "Tentacion" was very successful, reaching number four in Greece. "Sari" also did well, charting in both Albania and Greece.
