Rincon or Rincon Grande is a small settlement located on East Falkland. This area is part of the Falkland Islands. It sits on the eastern shore of Salvador Water, right at its northern end.
The name Rincon comes from Spanish. It means "a point of land." Early settlements like Rincon Grande were often built in places where it was easy to guide cattle onto boats.
Rincon Grande is located to the east of Salvador (which is across the water). It is also west of Port Louis and Johnson's Harbour. It is known as one of the oldest settlements in this region.
Some of the larger cities closest to Rincon Grande include Bahía Blanca, Mar del Plata, Neuquén, and Temuco.
