Riverview Lake is a popular lake found in Riverview Park in Mesa, Arizona, United States. This fun lake is located west of Dobson Road and north of 8th Street, making it easy to visit.
Keeping the Lake Healthy
In the summer of 2018, a type of algae called golden algae caused problems for the fish in Riverview Lake. There was a lot of this algae, which made many fish sick. Sadly, a large number of fish died because of it.
Experts checked the lake in late summer of 2018. They found that the algae problem was under control. The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) then worked to help the lake. They added new fish, like sunfish and catfish, to bring the fish population back up.
