History of Riverview Park

Riverview Park was created and officially opened in 2015. It's a fairly new park for everyone to enjoy.

A special bridge for people to walk on connects the park to the historic James Lick Mansion. This mansion is on the other side of the Guadalupe River. It was built in the 1800s by a very rich man named James Lick. He was known as the wealthiest person in California when he passed away in 1870.

Exploring Riverview Park's Location

Riverview Park is a big park right by the river. It sits on the eastern side of the Guadalupe River. This area is in North San Jose.

The Guadalupe River Trail runs right along the park's edge. This trail is perfect for walking, running, or biking next to the river.

The park is also easy to get to! It's just a short walk from the River Oaks station. This station is part of the VTA light rail system, which is a train that helps people travel around the city.
