History of Rives
Rives began its journey in 1894. This was when a railroad line was built to reach the area. The village was named after Colonel H. W. Rives. He was an important official for the railroad company.
A post office opened in Rives in 1915. This helped people send and receive mail. It also showed that the village was growing.
