The Rivière aux Ormes (which means Elm River in English) is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Huron River. The Huron River then flows into the mighty St. Lawrence River.
This river is located in the Lotbinière Regional County Municipality. It flows through the towns of Saint-Flavien, Saint-Janvier-de-Joly, and Val-Alain. This area is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec.

Where the River Flows
The Rivière aux Ormes is about 15.2 kilometers (about 9.4 miles) long. It starts in the municipality of Saint-Flavien. Its source is north of the village, close to a road called Pointe du Jour.
River's Journey
From its start, the Rivière aux Ormes flows downhill. It drops about 62 meters (about 203 feet) from its source to where it ends.
Here's how its journey goes:
- It flows about 4.6 kilometers (2.9 miles) to the west in Saint-Flavien.
- Then, it continues west for about 1.3 kilometers (0.8 miles) until it reaches Highway 20.
- After that, it flows west for another 3.3 kilometers (2.1 miles). Here, another small stream called "Branche Coulombe" joins it from the east.
- Finally, it flows about 6.0 kilometers (3.7 miles) more to the west. This is where it meets the Huron River.
