The Rivière aux Frênes is a small river in Quebec, Canada. Its waters flow into the Henri River. From there, the water travels into the Rivière du Chêne. Finally, it reaches the mighty St. Lawrence River.
This river flows through two towns: Saint-Janvier-de-Joly and Val-Alain. Both are located in the Lotbinière Regional County Municipality in Quebec.

From its start, the river flows for 9.0 kilometers. It travels between the Henri River to the south and the rivière aux Cèdres to the north. As it flows westward, the river drops about 32 meters in elevation. Along its path, it crosses a railway line, local roads, and even Highway 20.
Where It Ends
The Rivière aux Frênes joins the Henri River in the town of Val-Alain. This meeting point is upstream from where the rivière aux Cèdres also joins the Henri River. It's also about 2.0 kilometers northwest of exit 266 on Highway 20.
