Saving a Life
In 2013, Rob Niter showed incredible bravery. He performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on a man for 25 minutes. Thanks to his quick actions, he helped save the man's life.
Niter later shared his feelings about the event with the Houston Chronicle newspaper. He said, "It's nice to be recognized, but it's not about an award or a medal. Knowing you saved someone's life is truly amazing." He added that their actions that day gave someone another chance at life.

After this heroic act, Rob Niter was honored as a "Hero of Houston." The mayor of Houston at the time, Annise Parker, gave him this special recognition.
