Robert Crowther is an Australian athlete who is a champion at the long jump. He was born on August 2, 1987, in Cloncurry, a town in Queensland. Robert is known for his incredible jumps, where he runs and leaps as far as he can! He is proud of his heritage, identifying as both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

Robert's personal best jump is 8.12 metres. He achieved this amazing distance in 2011 at a big competition called the IAAF Diamond League in Stockholm.

Robert Crowther has won many important medals and titles during his career. He has represented Australia in several international competitions.

Early Wins in 2004

In 2004, Robert showed his talent at the Oceania Youth Athletics Championships held in Townsville, Australia. He won three gold medals at this event, which was a fantastic start to his career:

  • Gold Medal in Long jump, with a distance of 6.81 metres.
  • Gold Medal in Triple jump, reaching 14.92 metres.

Becoming a World Junior Champion
