Robert DoQui (born April 20, 1934 – died February 9, 2008) was an American actor. He was famous for his roles in movies and on TV shows. You might know him as King George in the 1973 movie Coffy, or as Wade in the 1975 film Nashville. He also played Sgt. Warren Reed in the popular science fiction movies RoboCop (1987), RoboCop 2 (1990), and RoboCop 3 (1993). On television, he was the voice of Pablo Robertson in the cartoon series Harlem Globetrotters from 1970 to 1973.

Early Life

Robert DoQui was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on April 20, 1934. Before he became an actor, he served in the U.S. Air Force. In the early 1960s, he moved to Hollywood to start his acting career. He was married to Janee Michelle from 1969 to 1978.

Acting Career

Robert DoQui had a long acting career, appearing in many movies and TV shows. He was in the TV miniseries Centennial in 1978. He also starred in the TV movie The Court-Martial of Jackie Robinson in 1990.

He is well-known for playing Sgt. Warren Reed in all three RoboCop films. These movies are about a police officer who becomes a cyborg. DoQui also made guest appearances on many popular TV series. These include I Dream of Jeannie, Happy Days, and The Jeffersons. He also appeared in Gunsmoke, Adam-12, and Family Affair. In 1967, he played Officer Wilson in the Family Affair episode "Take Me Out of the Ballgame." Later, he was a Klingon named Noggra in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Sons of Mogh" in 1996.

Later Life and Death

Robert DoQui continued acting until 2007. His last film role was in Positive. He passed away on February 9, 2008, at the age of 73. His death was due to natural causes.
