Pound Puppies was a fun American animated TV show. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions and was based on the popular toy line by Tonka. The show first aired in September 1986 and ran until December 1987 on the ABC channel.

This cartoon was the first TV series based on the Pound Puppies toys. Later, another Pound Puppies show came out in 2010. The main idea of the show is about a group of adorable puppies who live in a pound and try to find loving homes for themselves and other animals.
