Robert Wuhl (born October 9, 1951) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is famous for creating and starring in the TV comedy show Arliss (1996–2002). He also played newspaper reporter Alexander Knox in Tim Burton's Batman (1989). Another well-known role was Larry in the movie Bull Durham (1988).

Early Life and Education
Robert Wuhl was born in Union, New Jersey. His family was Jewish, and his father worked with fresh produce. Robert went to Union High School. After high school, he studied at the University of Houston. There, he was very involved in the drama department. In 2012, his university honored him with a special award.
Robert Wuhl's Acting Career
Robert Wuhl started his movie career in 1980. His first big role was in the comedy The Hollywood Knights. He acted alongside other new stars like Michelle Pfeiffer. Later, he had a small part in the movie Flashdance (1983).

Robert Wuhl appeared in many popular films. He was in Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) with Robin Williams. He also acted with Kevin Costner in Bull Durham (1988). In Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, he played reporter Alexander Knox. Other movies include Blaze (1989) with Paul Newman. He also worked with Robert De Niro in Mistress (1992). He was in Blue Chips (1994) and Cobb (1994).

Robert Wuhl also worked behind the scenes. He wrote two episodes for the TV series Police Squad! in 1982. He later provided comments for its DVD release in 2006.
In 1992, he appeared in The Bodyguard. He played the host of the Oscars in the film. Robert Wuhl won two Emmy Awards for his writing. He co-wrote the Academy Awards shows in 1990 and 1991. He worked with famous comedians like Billy Crystal on these shows.
From 1996 to 2002, Robert Wuhl created and starred in the HBO series Arliss. In the show, he played Arliss Michaels, an agent for famous athletes. He was also a regular guest on the ESPN game show 2 Minute Drill. On that show, he often asked contestants questions about sports movies.
