Robert Žulj (born on February 5, 1992) is an Austrian professional footballer. He plays as a midfielder (a player in the middle of the field) or a forward (a player who tries to score goals). Currently, he plays for the club LASK.

Robert Žulj's Football Journey

Robert Žulj has played for many different football clubs throughout his career. He started playing football at a young age and has become a well-known player in Austria and Germany.

Playing for Greuther Fürth

In July 2014, Robert Žulj joined a German club called Greuther Fürth. He moved there from Red Bull Salzburg.

During the 2015–2016 season, Žulj was a key player for Greuther Fürth. He scored 8 goals and helped his teammates score 9 times in 32 league games. In June 2017, he decided not to sign a new contract with the club. Overall, he played 85 games for Greuther Fürth in the 2. Bundesliga (Germany's second-highest league). He scored 19 goals and made 14 assists during his time there.

Time at 1899 Hoffenheim

Soon after leaving Greuther Fürth, Žulj signed a three-year contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. This club plays in the Bundesliga, which is Germany's top football league.

Loan to Union Berlin

In August 2018, Robert Žulj went on loan to 1. FC Union Berlin. This meant he played for Union Berlin for the 2018–2019 season, but he was still officially a Hoffenheim player.

Moving to VfL Bochum

On January 15, 2020, VfL Bochum announced that Robert Žulj had joined their team. He signed a three-year deal with the club. He helped them win the 2. Bundesliga title in the 2020–2021 season.

Playing in the UAE for Al Ittihad Kalba

In July 2021, Žulj moved to the UAE Pro League (the top league in the United Arab Emirates). He joined a team called Al Ittihad Kalba. He played 27 games for them and scored 5 goals.

Return to Austria with LASK

After just one year in the UAE, Robert Žulj returned to his home country, Austria. The Austrian team LASK signed him on a free transfer in 2022. He is still playing for LASK and has made many appearances, scoring important goals for the team.
