History of Robinson
Robinson began in 1871 when a railroad was built through the area. The city was named after Charles L. Robinson, who was the very first governor of Kansas.
Before it was called Robinson, people in the area knew it as Lickskillet. This funny name came from a story about an old trapper. He supposedly let his dog lick his dirty dishes clean!

Robinson is located along the Wolf River. This river is a natural feature of the area.
