Robyn Krista Gayle, born on October 31, 1985, is a former Canadian soccer star. She won a CONCACAF championship and an Olympic Bronze Medal. Robyn played for teams in Canada and the United States. She spent two years with the Washington Spirit in the National Women's Soccer League. In 2024, she became an honoured member of the Canada Soccer Hall of Fame.

Robyn's Early Life and College Soccer
Playing for North Carolina
Robyn went to the University of North Carolina. She was the team captain for the Tar Heels in 2006. That year, she helped her team win their 18th National championship. Robyn was also named the best defensive player of the College Cup.
Robyn's Soccer Career
Club Teams
Robyn Gayle was a teenager when she won a big championship. She helped Oakville SC win Canada Soccer's 2002 National Championships. While in college, she played in the USL W-League. She played for the Toronto Inferno, Ottawa Fury, and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Robyn reached the USL W-League Championship finals three times. She made it twice with Ottawa (in 2005 and 2006) and once with Vancouver (in 2010).
On January 11, 2013, Robyn joined the Washington Spirit. This team was part of the new National Women's Soccer League. She helped Washington reach the NWSL Semi-Finals in 2014.
Playing for Canada
Robyn Gayle played for the Canadian national team. She played in the 2007, 2011, and 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. She also played in the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
Robyn was part of the Canadian team that won gold. This happened at the 2011 Pan-American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. She also won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics. Canada's team beat France 1–0 to win the bronze medal.
