Rod Rondeaux is a talented Native American actor and stuntman. He was born in 1958 in Los Angeles, California. Rod is known for his roles in movies and TV shows.

Rod Rondeaux is a member of the Crow Tribe. He also has Cheyenne family roots. He grew up on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana.
Before becoming an actor, Rod was a professional rodeo rider. He competed in events like horse riding, bull riding, and steer wrestling. His journey into movie stunts happened by chance. He was asked to be a stunt double for actor Michael Greyeyes in the film Crazy Horse.
In 2001, Rod won an award for his amazing stunt work. It was from the First Americans in the Arts. He also won two "Best Actor" awards in 2015 for his role in the movie Mekko. These awards were from the American Indian Film Festival and the Red Nation Film Festival.
Rod's Acting Career
Rod Rondeaux's first acting role was as Tall Bull in the 1996 film Crazy Horse. This movie was directed by John Irvin.
In the film Meek's Cutoff, Rod played a mysterious Native American character. This character helps a group of pioneers who are lost on the Oregon Trail. Rod spoke his own native language in this role.
Rod got his first main role in the 2015 movie Mekko. He played a man who had been in prison for 19 years. After being released, his family didn't want him around. He had to learn to live with his new situation. He also faced challenges from a violent man, played by Zahn McClarnon.
The director, Sterlin Harjo, chose Rod for the role just one night before filming started. Harjo felt Rod's background as a rodeo rider and stuntman gave him the right life experience for the part. A film critic named Dennis Harvey praised Rod's "soulful performance" in the movie.
Rod also appeared in Babak Jalali's 2018 film, Land. In the same year, he was in Susanna White's movie Woman Walks Ahead.
