Playing in Japan
In 2002, Rodrigo Gral moved to Japan to play in the J1 League. He joined the team Júbilo Iwata. His first game for the team was on March 17, 2002, against Consadole Sapporo. It was a special moment because he scored a goal in front of his new home fans at Yamaha Stadium.
Rodrigo quickly became one of the best goal scorers in the J1 League. He scored goals very often, usually more than one goal every two games he played.
