The National Museum of Scotland later purchased her work for their collection.

In 2008, Roma was asked to join a design team for the 300th anniversary of Meissen Porcelain in Germany. However, this project was later stopped.

Roma's Art Style

In her early career, Roma experimented with shapes inspired by nature. Her artworks were not meant to be used as everyday objects. Instead, she wanted them to express strong feelings and ideas.

By the 1990s, Roma started using other materials like stainless steel and precious metals. This made her sculptures look more modern and architectural. Her newer works often refer back to ideas from her earlier pieces.

Roma Babuniak's art is often described as minimalist. This means it is simple, neat, and calm. She gets ideas from everyday landscapes, focusing on their most important features.

She often combines different materials that might seem unusual together. These include bone china, porcelain, a type of plastic called Poly(methyl)methacrylate, thin wire, stainless steel, and paper. This mix creates an interesting balance in her art.

Roma has received many international awards and praise for her work. Many private and public collectors own her art. Her work has also been featured in publications around the world.
