Ronald Joseph Livingston (born June 5, 1967) is an American actor. He is famous for his roles in movies and TV shows. You might know him as Peter Gibbons in the comedy film Office Space (1999). He also played Captain Lewis Nixon III in the TV mini-series Band of Brothers (2001).
Ron Livingston has been in many other films like Adaptation (2002), The Conjuring (2013), and Tully (2018). On TV, he starred in Loudermilk (2017–2020) and Boardwalk Empire (2013).

Early Life and School
Ron Livingston was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His dad, Kurt Livingston, was an aerospace electronics engineer. His mom, Linda, was a Lutheran pastor. He has two brothers and one sister. His younger brother, John, is also an actor.
Ron went to Yale University and graduated in 1989. While there, he sang with a famous singing group called The Whiffenpoofs. He first started acting at Theatre Cedar Rapids after a school visit. Later, he moved to Chicago and got involved in local theater.

Starting Out in the 1990s
Ron Livingston's first movie role was in 1992, in a film called Straight Talk with Dolly Parton. After that, he moved to Los Angeles. He got smaller roles in movies like Some Folks Call it a Sling Blade.
In 1999, he became well-known for playing the main character, Peter Gibbons, in the comedy Office Space. This movie also starred Jennifer Aniston and was directed by Mike Judge. It became a very popular movie over time.
Roles in the 2000s and Beyond
Ron Livingston continued to act in many different projects. In 2001, he appeared in the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers. He played Captain Lewis Nixon III alongside actors like Donnie Wahlberg and Damian Lewis.
He showed his range by playing a Hollywood agent in Adaptation (2002). He also played a casino boss in The Cooler (2003). He took on roles as teachers in movies like Winter Solstice and Pretty Persuasion (both 2005).
On TV, he was a short-term boyfriend named Jack Berger in Sex and the City. He also made a guest appearance in an episode of House. From 2006 to 2007, he starred as an FBI negotiator in the TV series Standoff.
In 2007, Ron acted in a play called In a Dark Dark House in New York City. In 2009, he was in the TV series Defying Gravity.
In 2010, he co-starred in the comedy movie Dinner for Schmucks. In 2013, he joined the cast of HBO's Boardwalk Empire for its fourth season. That same year, he was in the indie comedy Drinking Buddies, which got good reviews.
From 2017 to 2020, Ron Livingston played the main role of Sam Loudermilk in the comedy TV series Loudermilk. The show first aired on the Audience network and later moved to Amazon Prime Video.
Personal Life
Ron Livingston met actress Rosemarie DeWitt while they were working together on the TV show Standoff. They started dating and got married on November 2, 2009, in San Francisco.
In 2013, Ron and Rosemarie adopted a baby girl. In 2016, they adopted another daughter.
