Rosemarie DeWitt is an American actress born on October 26, 1971. She is known for her roles in TV shows like Standoff and United States of Tara. She also starred in the movie Rachel Getting Married (2008), which earned her several awards. You might also know her as Laura Wilder, the sister of Ryan Gosling's character in the Oscar-winning movie La La Land. She also appeared in the horror movie Poltergeist (2015).

Early Life and Education
Rosemarie DeWitt was born in Flushing, Queens, New York City. Her parents are Rosemarie and Kenny DeWitt. She is the granddaughter of James J. Braddock, a famous former World Heavyweight Champion boxer. Rosemarie even played a character named Sara Wilson in the movie Cinderella Man, which was about her grandfather's life.
DeWitt grew up in Hanover Township, New Jersey. She went to Whippany Park High School, where she acted in many school plays. She later studied at Hofstra University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also trained at The Actors Center in New York.
