Rosemarie Braddock DeWitt (born October 26, 1971) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in TV shows like Standoff and United States of Tara. She also played the main character in the movie Rachel Getting Married (2008). You might also know her from the musical film La La Land and the horror movie Poltergeist.

Early life and education
Rosemarie DeWitt was born in Flushing, Queens, New York. Her parents are Rosemarie and Kenny DeWitt. She is the granddaughter of James J. Braddock, who was a famous World Heavyweight Champion boxer. Rosemarie even played a character named Sara Wilson in the movie Cinderella Man, which was about her grandfather's life.
She grew up in Hanover Township, New Jersey, and went to Whippany Park High School. She loved acting in school plays. Later, she studied at Hofstra University, where she earned a degree in creative studies. She also trained at The Actors Center in New York.
Acting career

Rosemarie DeWitt has starred in many movies. In 2008, she played Rachel in the film Rachel Getting Married alongside Anne Hathaway. For this role, she won several awards, including a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress.

She also had a recurring role in the popular show Mad Men, where she played Midge Daniels. In 2017, she appeared in an episode of the British series Black Mirror called "Arkangel", which was directed by Jodie Foster.
Rosemarie has also performed in many plays in New York. She starred in Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Small Tragedy. For her role in Small Tragedy, the entire cast won an Obie Award.
Personal life
Rosemarie DeWitt was married to actor Chris Messina from 1995 to 2006. She later married actor Ron Livingston on November 2, 2009. They had worked together on the TV show Standoff. In 2013, the couple adopted their first daughter, and in 2015, they adopted a second daughter.
