Ronnie Ash (born July 2, 1988) is an American track and field athlete. He is known for running in hurdles races. On June 29, 2014, he ran the 110 metres hurdles in 12.99 seconds. This was a very fast time, putting him among the fastest hurdlers ever. He became one of only a few athletes to run under 13 seconds.
Later in 2014, Ronnie Ash won a silver medal. This was at the 2014 IAAF Continental Cup. He was chosen for the team because his time was one of the best in the Americas that season. In 2016, he reached the Olympic final. He was close to winning a medal but stumbled. He was disqualified because he did not clear a hurdle correctly.

Ronnie Ash's Hurdles Career
Ronnie Ash grew up in Passaic, New Jersey. He started hurdling in high school. He moved to Knightdale High School for his senior year. He had almost no sports experience before this. The basketball and track coaches encouraged him to join. He joined the track team to meet new people.
High School Achievements
Ronnie set school records in several events. These included the 110 metres hurdles and 300 meters hurdles. He also set a record in the high jump. After graduating in 2008, he competed internationally. He won a bronze medal at the 2008 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics. He competed against future world champions there.
College Track and Field
Ronnie Ash did not plan to go to college at first. But he received an offer from Bethune-Cookman University. At Bethune-Cookman, he became a champion. He won both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Men's Track and Field Championship in 2009.
The next season, he moved to the University of Oklahoma. He won the indoor championship again. He finished third in the outdoor championship. A few weeks later, he placed third at the 2010 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
International Success
Later in the summer of 2010, he competed again. This was at the 2010 NACAC Under-23 Championships in Athletics. This time, he won a gold medal. He ran the 110-meter hurdles in 12.98 seconds. The wind was too strong for this to be an official record. However, it showed how fast he could be.
