Roosevelt Lawayne Brown (born August 3, 1975) is an American former professional baseball player. He played as an outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1999 to 2002. He also played baseball in Japan. After his playing career, Brown became a hitting coach for several teams.

Starting His Career
Brown was born on August 3, 1975. He was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1993. This happened right after he finished high school.
In 1996, he was traded to the Florida Marlins. This trade happened on August 13. He later joined the Chicago Cubs.
Playing in the Major Leagues
Roosevelt Brown played for the Chicago Cubs in Major League Baseball. He was with the Cubs from 1999 to 2002. During this time, he played as an outfielder.
Playing in Japan
After his time in MLB, Brown went to Japan. He played for the Orix BlueWave team. He was with this team from 2003 to 2004. Playing in Japan was a new experience for him.
After His Playing Days
Brown finished his playing career in 2005. He played for the Charlotte Knights that year. This team is a Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Triple-A is a high level of minor league baseball.
After retiring as a player, Brown became a hitting coach. He has coached for teams like the Mississippi Braves. He also coached for the Sioux Falls Canaries.
