Rottumeroog is a small, special island in the Netherlands. It is located in the province of Groningen. This island is part of the Het Hogeland area. It is quite small, covering about 2.5 square kilometers. Rottumeroog is unique because no one lives there.

Rottumeroog is one of the West Frisian Islands. These islands are also known as the Waddeneilanden in Dutch. It is the island furthest to the east in this group.
Where is Rottumeroog?
This island sits to the west of a German island called Borkum. To its east, you will find another small Dutch island named Rottumerplaat. Rottumeroog is like a natural border between these two places.
