Rowan Alexander Barrett Sr. was born on November 24, 1972. He is a Canadian former professional basketball player. He stands at 6 feet 6 inches (1.98 meters) tall. Rowan played as a shooting guard and small forward. He was the top scorer in the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 2002. Today, he is the general manager for the Canadian men's national team.

Rowan Barrett grew up in the Scarborough area of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He went to West Hill Collegiate Institute for high school. There, he played on the school's basketball team.
College Basketball Journey
After high school, Rowan played NCAA Division I college basketball. He played for St. John's University with the St. John's Red Storm. His college career lasted from 1992 to 1996.
Professional Basketball Career
Rowan Barrett signed contracts with the Toronto Raptors in 1997 and 1999. He also signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1999. However, he never played in any official NBA regular season games for these teams.

Rowan was a top scorer in the 2002 Israel Basketball Premier League. He scored 25.5 points per game. He also made 57% of his two-point shots and 41% of his three-point shots. He also grabbed 5.2 rebounds per game. His best game included 42 points and 10 rebounds. He was also the top scorer in the FIBA Saporta Cup during the 2000–01 season. This was a major European basketball competition.
Playing for Team Canada
Rowan Barrett was an important player for the senior Canadian national basketball team. He represented Canada in several big tournaments.

RJ was ranked as the top high school basketball player in 2018. He played one year at Duke University. Then, he was chosen third overall by the New York Knicks in the 2019 NBA draft.
