Rudolf Martin (born July 31, 1967) is a German actor who mostly works in the United States. He started acting in plays in New York City, then moved on to many roles in TV shows and movies. He has appeared as a guest star in many popular TV series. Recently, he also began working in Germany. Rudolf Martin lives in Los Angeles.

Early Life and Learning
Rudolf Martin was born in West Berlin, Germany. When he was young, he traveled around Europe while going to school. Because he loved art, he studied American and English literature in Berlin and drama in Paris, France.
Later, he joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City to become an actor. While performing in small theater plays, Rudolf got a main role in a short film called The Dutch Master. This film was even nominated for an Academy Award! After that, he had important roles in the TV show All My Children and in a popular play called The Food Chain. While in New York, he also became known for his work in independent films like Fall, High Art, and When.
Rudolf Martin's Acting Career
After moving to Los Angeles in 1999, Rudolf Martin appeared in the movie Swordfish. In this film, he played Axl Torvalds, a famous computer hacker. His role in Swordfish helped him get a part in the German thriller Soundless.
Before Swordfish, Rudolf was in the TV series Beggars and Choosers. This show was about how TV networks work. Rudolf played "Nikolai Krasnakov," a charming but dangerous Russian mobster. He played this exciting character for both seasons of the show.
Rudolf then moved to Hollywood and appeared in several other movies. These include the comedy Bedazzled, White Oleander, and Punks. Punks was even nominated for an Independent Spirit Award! He also acted in The Scoundrel's Wife with famous actors like Tatum O'Neal.
Playing Dracula
Rudolf Martin played the famous character Vlad Dracula in the USA film Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula. This movie was filmed in Romania in 2000. It tells the real story of Prince Vlad III Dracula, who inspired the name for Bram Stoker's fictional vampire count. Other actors like Peter Weller and Roger Daltrey were also in Dark Prince.
After that, Rudolf Martin played the fictional Count Dracula in the first episode of the fifth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In this episode, called "Buffy vs. Dracula", he acted alongside his former co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar.
TV Show Appearances
Rudolf Martin has also been a guest star in many other TV dramas. He appeared in five episodes of the thriller 24, playing two different characters. He was also in Judging Amy and Crossing Jordan. In CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, he played a serial killer.
One of his most well-known TV roles was as Ari Haswari, a secret agent, in the popular show NCIS. He was a main bad guy for the first two seasons until his character was killed off. He also appeared in the independent film River's End, which was filmed in Texas.
Rudolf continues to focus on film roles and also acts in European movies. He had another main role in the film Bloodlines, which was about a young man finding his family in Slovakia. This movie was filmed in San Francisco and Slovakia.
He was also in Hoboken Hollow with actors like Dennis Hopper and Michael Madsen. He appeared in a German movie called Paparazzo, filmed in France and Spain. Rudolf also had a guest role in the TV show Stargate SG-1 and appeared in three episodes of Dexter as Carlos Guerrero.
In 2011, Rudolf Martin played a character named Tormento Lancie in the video parts of Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour. His character was a stalker trying to stop Britney Spears.
