Rui Campos, often known simply as Rui, was a talented Brazilian football player. He was born on August 2, 1922, in São Paulo, Brazil. Rui was a skilled midfielder who played for several important clubs. He also proudly represented his country, Brazil, in the 1950 FIFA World Cup. Rui passed away on January 2, 2002, in his hometown of São Paulo.

Rui Campos started his football career in his home city of São Paulo. He played for several well-known Brazilian clubs during his time as a professional player. These clubs included Bonsucesso, Fluminense, and Bangu.

Rui also played for two of Brazil's biggest teams: São Paulo and Palmeiras. While playing for São Paulo, he was part of a very successful midfield team. He played alongside two other great players, José Carlos Bauer and Alfredo Noronha. Together, they formed a strong and effective midfield trio.

Rui Campos was also a key player for the Brazilian national team. He played 30 matches for his country between 1944 and 1950.
