This means it is a special area defined by the government for counting people. Rupert is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. In 2020, about 154 people lived there. It is also part of the larger Bloomsburg-Berwick micropolitan area.

The eastern part of Rupert is mostly flat. However, the western part has steep hills. Much of Rupert is covered by forests. There are also some areas used for farming and homes, especially in the northeastern part of the community.

Pennsylvania Route 42 is an important road that goes through the middle of Rupert. If you go north on PA 42 for about 0.5 miles, you will reach U.S. Route 11. This point is about 2 miles southwest of the center of Bloomsburg. If you travel south from Rupert on PA 42 for about 2.5 miles, you will arrive at Catawissa. Catawissa is on the southeastern bank of the Susquehanna River.
