Russell is a small town located in Lincoln County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 677 people lived there.

Several smaller places, called unincorporated communities, are part of the town of Russell. These include Gleason and Dudley. Part of the community of Bloomville is also located within the town's borders.

Russell is found on the eastern side of Lincoln County. It shares a border with Langlade County to its east.

How to Get Around Russell

Wisconsin Highway 17 is a main road that goes through the town. It passes through Bloomville, Gleason, and Dudley. This highway can take you north about 26 miles (42 km) to Rhinelander. If you go southwest, it's about 14 miles (23 km) to Merrill. Merrill is important because it's the main city for Lincoln County.

The Prairie River flows through the town. This river flows southwest and eventually joins the Wisconsin River.
