Teams from many different countries come to play in SUN BEAM. You'll see players from the Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), as well as Belarus, Poland, Russia, and Finland. It's a great chance to meet players from all over!
What is SUN BEAM?
The SUN BEAM tournament follows the official rules for beach ultimate frisbee. In beach ultimate, five players from each team are on the field at a time.
How the Games Work
Teams first play in a "round robin" system. This means every team plays against several other teams. After these games, the best teams move on to the "playoffs" to compete for the championship!
- There are two main groups of teams: "Open" (usually for all players) and "Mixed" (where teams have both male and female players).
- Each game has a time limit of 45 minutes.
- A game ends when one team scores 13 points.
Past Winners
Over the years, many different teams have shown their skills and won the SUN BEAM tournament. Teams from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and even other countries like the Netherlands have taken home the gold! It's always exciting to see who will be the champions each year.
