Kapfenberger SV is an Austrian football club from Kapfenberg, a town in Styria. The team is often called Kapfenberg for short. They are known as the Falken, which means "The Falcons".
The club started in 1919 as Kapfenberger SC. Later, in 1947, its name changed to Kapfenberger SV. The team plays in the Austrian Second League, which is the second highest football league in Austria. In the 2007–08 season, they won the Austrian Football First League and moved up to the top league, the Austrian Bundesliga.
