A Look at Sabana Llana's Past
Sabana Llana was once listed in Spain's official records. This was before Puerto Rico became part of the United States. This change happened after the Spanish–American War.
Puerto Rico was given to the United States by Spain. This was agreed upon in the Treaty of Paris of 1898. After this, Puerto Rico became an unincorporated territory of the United States. This means it is a territory that belongs to the U.S. but is not fully part of it.
