Saber Abar (Persian: صابر اَبَر; born June 8, 1984) is a talented actor, director, and writer from Iran. He is most famous for his role in the movie About Elly (2008). This film was directed by Asghar Farhadi, who has won an Oscar.
Saber Abar has won several important awards for his work. These include two Iran Cinema Celebration Awards and an Iran's Film Critics and Writers Association Award. He has also been nominated for other big awards like the Crystal Simorgh and Hafez Awards.

Starting Out in TV and Acting
Saber Abar began his career as a TV host. He hosted a children's TV show called Rainbow. He also hosted a game show called In 100 Seconds. These shows helped him become known to the public.
His acting career really took off with a role in the movie Sha'ere Zobale. In 2006, he acted alongside famous actor Ezzatollah Entezami in Minaye Shahr-e Khamush. His role in this movie earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Crystal Simorgh Prize.
Breakthrough with About Elly
Saber Abar's talent was noticed in the movie Dayere Zangi (2007). This led to him being offered a role in Asghar Farhadi's film About Elly. This movie was highly praised by critics. Some even called it a masterpiece.
In About Elly, Saber Abar played a character named Alireza. Alireza's fiancée mysteriously disappears in the story. This role earned him another nomination at the Fajr International Film Festival.
