Sachi Kagawa was born in Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. He played football for a local team called Rijo Shukyu-Dan.

While playing for Rijo Shukyu-Dan, Kagawa helped his team win the Emperor's Cup twice. They won in 1924 and again in 1925. The Emperor's Cup is a very important football competition in Japan.

He played alongside other famous international players like Naoemon Shimizu and Shizuo Miyama.

Playing for Japan

In May 1925, Sachi Kagawa was chosen to play for the Japan national football team. He joined the team for the 1925 Far Eastern Championship Games. This big sports event took place in Manila, a city in the Philippines.

Kagawa played his first game for Japan on May 17, 1925. They played against the Philippines. A few days later, on May 20, he also played against the team from Republic of China.
